Natalie Sykes Hutchins

Natalie’s an experienced problem solver and a fantastic communicator; she also has extensive experience in policy development and implementation in both in government and in the community sector.
Natalie’s experience in communication was extensively developed during her time a senior political advisor to Steve Bracks former Premier of Victoria and as Chief of Staff to the Victorian Minister for Education Mary Delahunty. Natalie was a Senior Official with the NSW Branch of the Transport Workers Union for three years during which time she coordinated the Union’s lobby of the NSW Government and Federal Government on roads, workplace safety and workforce planning policies.
In 1995 Natalie was the first woman to be elected to the position of Assistant Secretary of the Victorian Trades Hall Council and was an Executive member of the ACTU. Natalie was a Trustee Director of the Transport Industry Superannuation Fund and was appointed as the chairperson of the Fund's Marketing Committee. She has experience in high risk and high profile industrial and political situations with hands on experience working in government, community groups, unions and industry.
Natalie’s expertise in policy development includes Communications, Education, Industrial Relations, Regional and community development, Transport and Infrastructure and Superannuation.
Natalie is a full member of the Australian Market and Social Research Society and the Public Relations Institute of Australia.
Lauren Hutchins

Lauren is a senior researcher with Globe Workplace, specialising in qualitative and quantitative data analysis. She draws on her experiences working for government, employee associations and communications organisations to provide in depth and rounded analysis of research.
Lauren has worked as a campaign director for the Transport Workers’ Union, overseeing communication strategies, materials development and staff coordination in state wide industrial campaigns. She has worked in the United States as a campaigner for UNITE HERE, America’s hotels and textiles union.
She has worked as a researcher for a member of ACT Legislative Assembly, where she carried out extensive research on committee submissions, legislation (existing and proposed) and electorate issues. Whilst with Globe Lauren has conducted quantitative and qualitative research analysis across a variety of subject areas from junior medical officer workplace issues to recruitment in the road transport industry.
Mark Civitella

Mark Civitella is currently a director of Globe Workplace, is Managing Director of Globe Communications and Chairman of GPS Research. He is a former director of Essential Media Communications Pty Ltd and Auspoll Ptd Ltd. In his capacity as director of numerous research and communications companies Mark has developed surveys, overseen major research projects, provided in depth and detailed analysis, and prepared reports for a variety of clients.
Mark has been engaged by a number of organisations to provide research interpretation and solutions modelling including the Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development. He has provided this service to the Victorian Department of Human Services for a range of issues including the Safe Injecting Room debate, has set out a research program to evaluate several campaigns in DIIRD, including ongoing tracking research into the success of a careers program in the Office of manufacturing. He has further provided an in-house research ‘climate evaluation’ program for the DIIRD to evaluate satisfaction and performance attributes in cooperation with the Human Resources Department.
Mark established stakeholder research as a basis for the foundation of the Victorian Institute of Teaching. He developed a highly regarded ‘social marketing’ research capacity which has conducted research and examined and advised on issues such as ‘sustainability’ in investment products for Superannuation Funds, and the impact of ‘green’ voting on mainstream politics.
Mark is a full member of the Australian Market and Social Research Society and the Public Relations Institute of Australia.
Kevin Brianton

Kevin Brianton has 20 years experience in all aspects of market research, corporate planning, strategic planning, project management and public relations. He has worked extensively in assisting the Victorian state government develop strategies to introduce workplace planning to address ongoing skills shortages. Kevin researched the emerging shortage of truck drivers in NSW, Victoria and Queensland. He also researched reasons for the failure of young people to enter the manufacturing industry in Victoria.
Kevin has an extensive background in journalism and public relations and also worked for two major market research companies before joining Globe Workplace.
At Moreland City Council, he developed the Moreland model of community consultation – a research based approach to community issues management. The model has been widely used by local governments around the world.
Throughout his career, he has developed market research and communications strategies for many local governments, private organisations and community groups.
Kevin has maintained an excellent record in all aspects of research-based communication, winning awards each year for six years from the Public Relations Institute of Australia. He also received two citations from the Public Relations Institute for his work in local government communications.
